Rogue One (Part 3)
Added 2018-05-26 03:11:43 +0000 UTCWe're back with Rogue One Part 3! I was really encouraged by how well this one went, it gets very dungeon-crawlery and I wasn't sure that would make good radio (after our thrown-out Die Hard episode kinda made me nervous about those kind of adventures) but I think it turned out very enjoyable. We certainly had a fun time recording it.
Big thanks to all of you, as always. As I mention at the end of the ep, Joz is heading up some videos for the Patreon (thanks Joz), so you can look forward to some new Patreon-exclusive content. We'll be answering your frequently asked questions, so feel free to shoot them at us here if there's anything you would like us to talk about.

Also, any thoughts on what it was like recording Home Alone? It was a fantastic listener experience of course, but also definitely came across as one of the more experimental episodes that really highlighted some of the differences between how you would structure a game for a podcast and what you would do around a gaming table at home - both in terms of the PVP and the very asymmetrical levels of power and control over the story. I suppose that my question is how well you thought that worked, what went well, what you'd do differently next time etc, and whether you have any other interesting ideas for episodes that play with the format a little in the future. (The Bill and Ted splicing was very neat, too!)

2018-06-11 22:38:04 +0000 UTCI'd be super interested in hearing if Paulo, Jon, or any of the other GMs in the group have any thoughts to share on controlling pacing in RPGs. In particular, any tricks or tips on managing to keep the game and plot moving forward (for a given definition of 'forward'!) without losing the silly nonsensical tangents that make the show (and gaming in general) so much fun. Thanks so much for all the hard work you guys put in to the show, been a huge fan since Frozen!
