Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (Part 2)
Added 2017-10-21 03:46:38 +0000 UTCHello friends! Another episode is up! Love how this one turned out. Joz and Scott never dropped their characters happy-go-lucky attitude no matter what I threw at them. And this episode threw some pretty hellacious shit at them.
This one honestly goes into the category of movies that I like our version better than the original movie (and I do like this movie.) That seems to happen the most when the story is a complete surprise to me, and comes entirely out of the improv and the dice.

I'm a first time supporter, and I can't imagine which group of wonderful people I would want to spend a 'coffee' on more. I enjoy your podcast very much, especially this play-through, because of all the tension towards the end. I was laughing and shouting as I prayed that 'Bill and Ted' would get their rolls. This is not a sob story, but I'm going to lose a family member to cancer very soon. I'm so thankful that I could listen today on the way back from the hospital. Keep up the good (and hard!) work, and know that your stories are a blessing. Thank you.

2018-04-02 06:37:21 +0000 UTCThat's actually exactly what I was thinking about. I imagined that Napoleon (used to fighting against generals from the all same military schools, all trained in the same techniques), confronted with an army schooled in a completely alien military doctrine, he would reach for the oldest trick in the book. He probably always wanted to try that set-up, but it would never work in a European battle, where the opposing generals have all studied Cannae in school.

2017-11-01 02:32:29 +0000 UTCI liked the choice of double envelopment as the tactic Napoleon suggested because it was huge in the west, but some Asian sources, like the Thirty-Six Stratagems, warned against surrounding the enemy as they'll fight like cornered animals if they know they can't retreat.
