One day I got given that old video dusty cassette of Berserk and I had no idea what it was about. Then I watched it and it was the best thing I have ever watched. Because the series made me upset, sad, happy, shocked, and also gave me a lot of willpower for what I am so passionate about. All sort of things. I owe the creator a lot of who I am today.
Yesterday was announced that the author of Berserk died on May the 6th. 2 days after my birthdate. And it's that kind of day that I'm not so spirited. Because even though I never met the guy, the series was a lot more than just that.
And over the years I say so often how much I love it and just like Kuja, some stories just are meant to make you feel related to something. And I think it's important to have that.
I was scrolling through old pictures of the anime, it's so nostalgic. I did read the manga, seen the movies and watched the most recent, but nothing hit more than the first thing that got you into it.
