Of course; it's overwhelming to start, but I suggest to start with an easier cosplay project, a character that you love. Then start with the wig and makeup. Use tutorials on Youtube for wig styling and makeup. There are many around to help you with it. Then after styling your first wig and learning about makeup which you practiced a little, start learning about sewing by dismantling your own clothes that looks similar to your own clothes. Dismantling your clothes makes you learn how to pattern and how to sew them. Use an easy machine to work with at the beginning and try to make easy clothes, gradually will get to be able to figure out harder. Start like this and see if you like it, then you can start thinking about armor and weapons if needed. There are cosplayers that don't even do any weapons and armors, if that's not your thing.

Yes there are a few: 1- Angles ; upper angles are the best 2- Rounder and shorter wigs such as Noctis 3- Don't use any contouring on your cheeks 4- use highlight powder on your cheeks 5- You can try to shadow under your chin. 6- Mind you it is easier to make your face longer than making it more round.

Narcisse: For myself I have no one I look up to. I just happened to see a few cosplays here and there, at that time, they were looking like halloween costumes for me. Then, I decided to start to make mine having in mind that I wanted them to be more realistic like in the movies, because I love the characters and to replicate them accurately because to me, when you love a character, all details matter. Then I've seen more and more people trying to make it a similar way. Yes perseverance and patience is the key to do what you wish for, but also heart and passion ; )

Do you have any advice for people who are just starting out with cosplaying? I'd love to get into it, but im not sure where to begin, and I'm not quite confident :o

Thank you for your reply ♡ I will send you pictures when I get home from what I have as fabric and what I am looking for to achieve. I thought there might not be much possible but you always make miracles with your costumes, so there might be hope with senpai help ;-; ♡

Hi sweetie, Zero here! What kind of fabric do you have now? Maybe sewing it from one layer can help? If the fabric is heavy itself, there is not much you can do sadly ;-; send me picture of what you are doing on FB and I will try to help <3

As you know I have a pretty long face, are there any make up techniques or other ways where I can give the illusion my face is shorter than it is for characters with short faces?

Personally, I have questions about your thinking. I apologize for my bad English. Have you artists which inspire you in your passion? I want to say an incredible person in its work, an admiring person. How did you know this fantastic universe of cosplay? ;) Oh...The perseverance and the patience is key of the success there. (I don't know if that this said in English, in French it is; "C'est la clé de la réussite!" You achieved them, your work is incredible. Well, I move away from the subject, sorry. :(

I am working on a cosplay right now and I need to sew pants that look like Harem or Belly dance pants. However, my fabric is not as flowy or lightweight as what I have seen in tutorials, so the puffiness of the pants is heavily affected. Would there be way to fix this? Any way to sew a kind of those pants with heavier fabric? I have not much budget left so buying new fabric is not really an option :c Thank you for the help ♡ Love you guys ♡
