Added 2025-05-26 17:47:46 +0000 UTCToday my forecast appears to be a trace of the SPCs 5% risk outlook. Agreement = more confidence. For those looking for a wiley away from the chaser hoard target, perhaps consider New Mexico though low level parameters (and others) don’t look as good out there today as yesterday.
SPEAKING OF YESTERDAY
It was comically astonishing how many storm chasers were in Matador Texas. Everyone was there it seemed. We had a slow moving supercell for at least an hour before going (largely) outflow dominant. That’s when things got shady. The show of the day, and perhaps the year was in New Mexico where Tracie and Anton Seimon documented an incredibly photogenic tornado for 23 minutes or so and said they only saw one other chaser there.

June will hopefully be better in the N Plains for chaser convergence. Seemed like every tom and sally was out yesterday. Thankfully the storm didn’t produce for the thirty minutes the hoard got stuck under the meso.

2025-05-26 18:45:55 +0000 UTCYeah I’m not liking how much convergence is going on. Everyone is talking about it. Every post, stream, etc. It’s becoming a hell of a lot more dangerous than the storms themselves. I’ve been focused on work, so I had to sit this week out regardless. But I’m looking forward to June setups out west and the monsoon now. Don’t mean to be negative in the slightest. Supercells are rad. But I’d like to have fun too and not feel like I’m the one in the zoo exhibit. Open to hear anyone’s thoughts! Good luck to anyone out today!🤘
