G’day Patrons
Today looks like another good day for supercells and perhaps tornadoes in Texas. It might be a wack-a-mole chase bouncing around to different storms trying to smack the right one, but we never really know.
YESTERDAY began with serious flashbacks of big tornado days. A storm exploded right on target near Crowell Texas and started twisting right off the bat. It did the splits as expected, turned right and died. Cue Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown.
Behind another storm complex another updraft was twisting and turning in the cold sunset light. There was a screech owl on the fence post 30 meters away. That’s close for a screech owl. So what do you do? Grab a long lens and aim it at that rare little owl opportunity or do you jump out of the car with tripods and scare it away? I chose the owl, but then got the sunset updraft post golden hour.

I haven’t dumped my photos yet, but here’s what the owl was eating. Anybody know what creature remains this is?
Good luck today toad dodgers! (There will be lots of toads in the roads tonight)
