Howdy Patrons,
Today the SPC has a 5% risk of tornadoes up the spine of the dryline. The HRRR is currently largely saying “blue skies” and the NAM is saying “burritos can happen” in Kansas and perhaps west Texas. This is where I often get in trouble with birds in the bush. If we exhaust ourselves today, we may be out of range for the potentially much bigger event tomorrow…
CURRENT PLANS is to drive into Kansas and see what’s what. It’s hard for me to pass up a chance for discrete supercells there. Anybody chasing Montana? 🤗

YESTERDAY’s TARGET near Hobbs New Mexico felt stable at 4pm. With a little nudge from Dr Anton I switched targets to the Northwest / Roswell New Mexico and it paid off. No idea how I didn’t break a window.

CHASERS RULE! After checking out of the hotel yesterday morning I found an air compressor on top of my car. Several chasers recognized my vehicle in the lot and that it had a flat tire. They posted a photo of it on Twitter to give me a heads up. Of course I never check that network, but Daniel does and he informed me I have a flat. But one of the unknown chasers fixed my flat before I knew any of this and left me their compressor. That tire held its air all day and delivered me to at least two tornadoes. If anyone knows who fixed my tire, please let me know so that I can return their compressor and shake their hand.
Feelin’ the love from all of you!
