*Edit: In the video, I say each year the album was released (based on Spotify) but apparently that's not the official year! Annoying! Hope you enjoy the video anyway!

Very true! I'll add it to the list!

Adventures and Naps

Yay!!!! I'd love to see Florence live, I bet it's an incredible show!

Adventures and Naps

Very cool, thank you!!

I love Pink Lloyd! Haven't heard of the others, besides the Killers, but it's always fun to learn new things!

Leonard Cohen is a god-send! Just didn't make this list lol

Adventures and Naps

lol oh no! Hope you enjoy the new music, though!

Thanks Andrew! I love music! We spoke about this on Twitch last night and some people also suggested doing something similar for books, movies, TV and video games - so those will probably come in the future!

Great suggestions, thank you Alanna - The Black Keys and July Talk in particular. In return, consider Stay Awake by Noble Jacks. Hopefully they aren't too country for you, but the two lads are great singers and musicians

David Young

Because I'm slow, can you post the list too?

The Raven

Muse 😍

Jim On Toast

you could do something similar with albums that were released before you were born.

Than man in July Talk is SO crazy sounding. I am blown away each time I hear them on the radio. Florence, AMAZING. I saw her in Montreal, it was a religious experience. Yes The Beaches - I groove in the car when their song "T-shirt"?? comes on.

also, a couple of all-female bands I'm aware of are Hinds, a Spanish indie 4 piece that have released a couple of albums since 2016, & Babes in Toyland, a punk band from Minneapolis, Minnesota, active from 1987 to 2001 & then had a reunion tour in 2014 but current status is unknown.

Mark

Hi Alanna. a number of bands/artists I wasn't aware of on your list, so thank you for giving me more opportunities to experience new music.

Mark

I was going to leave a long list of the old man music i listen to but i will just list three, Year Of The Cat by Al Stewart, New Boots And Panties by Ian Dury And The Blockheads and Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd. And Sams Town by The Killers OK I know that's four.

Arthur Gatward

Hi, Alanna, I was seriously worried an imposter had taken over we were going for ages and there were no lorries reversing, refuse collectors collecting, low flying aircraft or dogs barking but then the battery failed and at the end the light changed. I knew Alanna was safe and well. Brilliant video, I know you said new music but I was surprised in any list of likes you didnt include the Canadian who alot of people think to be one of the best songwriters ever and the song who many, including me, think is one of the top half dozen ever written, nothing more to say about that other than Hallelujah! The sweet thing made perfect sense. Another brilliant video as always. Looking forward to your next video soon.

Stephen Parker

Added all of them to my collection to listen to, (already had Black Keys and Florence) even though you made me feel very old say burning CDs is old school

Simon

Oh dammit! Now I have a whole load of new music to listen to! Loving your enthusiasm and in depth explanations of why you like these, it's so much better than just, 'it's cool', because it gives us a good idea of why we should listen to these. I haven't had Spotify since about 2010 but you have made me want to sign up again. Thank you.
