Are you on Goodreads?
Added 2019-10-10 18:00:02 +0000 UTCI haven't been super active on Goodreads lately, but I always try to log my books whenever I finish them! If you've never used it before, it's a website you can sign up for free and track your books - primarily ratings, but you can even add reviews if you want. I like to use it so I can remember what I've read (and plus it feels good to add a book to your "finished" list!)
I'm still reading The Goldfinch - and loving it. I don't know if I'll actually watch the film or not, since it's supposed to be terrible and I don't want to ruin my love for the book!
I'm at around 600 pages right now, but hope to be finished the whole 900+ page book soon! No idea for the next book, though..

2019-10-10 18:24:00 +0000 UTCNo, I'm not on Goodreads. I've considered joining though. I just need to think of some books that I can say I have read that will make me look clever and interesting. I asked for American Psycho last Christmas, possibly after you recommended it. I'm yet to open it though. I've been reading a chapter of Lord Jim by Joseph Conrad ever night (with many nights off). It's a challenging read. Goodreads looks a great way of picking up recommendations.

2019-10-10 18:22:18 +0000 UTCOnly 300+ pages to go! Congrats! Indeed. Sometimes it's best to just read the book and leave the movie alone to avoid disappointment. Hollywood can only do so much with details contained in a book before the movie is either too short or way too long for it's own good. Haven't used Goodreads in a very long time.
