2019-07-23 08:40:35 +0000 UTCJuly in DC Is HOT and really humid. Haven't been there in decades. The last place I worked on the East Coast was a bar in Georgetown (tended bar)...in 1974! Was on my way home from work around 630 AM listening to car radio. Nixon had just resigned the presidency. I was crossing the Arlington Bridge and Gerald Ford's motorcade was speeding the opposite direction from me rushing to take his oath of office. I'd love to see Trump resign. Maybe Boris Johnson can hire him as his media consultant? I have a feeling poor Johnson is going to need a good one. Amusing this: I didn't receive a post card from you in April. It's fine and I d never complain about it. Today, your April post arrived! On the front was a pleasant note saying that, " Tge sender didt pay enough Airmail postage so they had to divert it to an alternative service. They apologized for any delay. Three months!! Must havee put it in a boat and sent it around 'The Horno lol. I last January I ordered a book on thee Australian-Axis Battle of Tobruk. The item was promised in early April. It was de!ivered in late June. Sent by ship from Melbourne. But hey, even after the delay the post was still reliably delivered! Hope your trip was a nice one. I love your glasses!! Cheers!
