If you like True Crime books read anything by Vincent Bugliosi (DA who prosecuted Charles Manson) or anything my John Douglas (created the FBI Behavioral Science Unit). All great reads.

Just catching up on your vids, I really enjoy the informal chatty style, like having a cuppa with a friend. I understand your desire to limit the calories etc but you really don't need to, you look great, but if it means you're feeling better then good for you :-) How about an eat this on supermarket brand low calorie sandwiches - I think too many of them are bland and tasteless.

Andrew Bramfitt

Sorry for not watching your video sooner but thanks for making it, I think I have an idea of how much work goes into one but I would welcome a video showing how you do it, I can always learn. Also many podcasts film themselves, it’s not a terrible thing unless it makes a crazy amount of work for you.

I'll bet you were sweaty. air-con isn't widespread in homes and 30C + is hot! Looks to be more comfortable, but wet, at this post. :-) Maybe a 'drink this' video with another alcohol... like beer! Mix it up, local, English beers, German, and Canadian and US brands if their available. Wait, have I seen this already? HaHa. As for your curly hair bit, let me know when you figure it out, I sure don't have a grip on it.

You are North American πŸ˜‰ I listen to podcasts when I'm at my desk at work all throughout the day.

Few ideas for low calorie Eat This videos (not that I think you need the low calorie thing, but if it makes you feel better I would like to support this): Jerky, plain yogurt, rice cakes, kale chips (that one should get you some American viewers, too!). And for the Drink This series why not do a water tasting, obviously Highland Spring is the best, but you could pretend that other brands stand a chance. PS: I am sweaty too

Did you watch Capote? Did you enjoy it? Also, the behind the scenes video sounds interesting.

You've mentioned holidaying in Florida before so maybe a video comparing holidays in Florida to living in Kent? That might be one way of getting a video with a US vs UK comparison

Colin Barrow

idk yr cooking vids are always pretty cool

Tom

My guess is the word you were searching for was 'diligently'. I think your youtube channel does very well versus the others that I subscribe to as in your subscribers:viewers ratio is quite high. It's all good stuff! Maybe something comparing British with American men would get many views.

You could keep the keyword/phrase but put a "not" in front of it, to make your titles more searched/found. For instance a title could be, "A Canadian, not an American making videos in England." People searching for the phrase "an American," will then find your videos.

8 stone, holy crap! That's incredible! Thanks so much for the kind words

That's a really great way of looking at my content - thank you!!

Another good, relaxed and chatty video. I like this sort of update style chat. I think it all the little thinking pauses and bits that you might normally take out but don't that make it feel more friendly. As for your curl, i didn't even see it until you pointed it out! Just think of it as a little unique thing that makes you you. I have seen a few other expat videos and most seem to do comparison videos as standard which can become very samey after awhile. I prefer your wider more general approach. I love reafing crime novels but it is fiction rather than factual. If that is something you read too, try Scandi-noir, it is dark and moody and very well written usually.

Hi, Alanna, I'm guessing that was a hot day. All of your videos are very entertaining and you are very talented. I particularly enjoy the taste testing and cooking videos, they are brilliant. If you are counting calories maybe taste test diet food or drink or various types of tomatoes or lettuce. I kept to about 1200 calories a day for just over a year and lost 8 stones. Looking forward to many more entertaining videos and hopefully some of your Canada trip.

A few books I have read and love. Anything by Kay about NF and Scoliosis two conditions I live with, Kirsty's Story Living with Neurofibromatosis and Scoliosis Kirsty Ashton Living with Neurofibromatosis Kirsty Ashton Katie Pipers first two books I read and relate to some parts of them so much. Beautiful Katie Piper Beautiful Ever After Katie Piper I read Worth Fighting For by Dana Vulin is under 24 hours I just could not put it down it's about a burns victim. Unbroken by Alexis Quinn is another great read which opened my eyes a lot of mental health and Autism.

The people who thought you posted the same day should be congratulating you on editing and posting while drunk! Maybe a diet food/drink taste that. A lot of diet food is horrible and you trying horrible things makes a great video. I was watching a video with Neil Gaiman talking about Terry Pratchett, Pratchett was worried all his books had similar elements, Gaiman told him that's why his readers loved his books. You don't need to be original, you just need to be good at what you do
