I recently finished reading Becoming by Michelle Obama - what a lovely book! Even if you didn't agree with Barack's policies (they aren't really touched upon in the book) there's a lot to take from this autobiography.
It was fascinating to learn more about life in the White House - just like the family couldn't go outside without first running it by security. Or that a man holding a briefcase with nuclear codes had to follow Barack constantly. Or that Michelle was on track to be a top-lawyer in Chicago before changing her mind and working in non-profits.
One of the key themes of the book really stuck with me: Becoming is never giving up on the idea that there's more growing to be done. Everything is a process, we just have to keep moving forward.
A great read!
