I recently saw Mary Queen of Scots - anyone see it yet? I thought overall is was OK, but the two leading women were incredible. Everything else was just alright...

Yep, with you on this Alanna. I was was really looking forward to seeing this film after watching the beautiful trailer and it did not disappoint as far as the photography and the acting of both the leads and the supporting cast, however in my opinion the director made a real pigs ear of the editing so the story felt very disjointed. Also the scene at the end in the barn where the Queens meet with all the white cloths hanging down (what were they?) was just weird. In the theatre maybe you could get away with this but in the cinema it felt bizarre. I think the Queens never met historically in person so this was some sort of artistic device to work around the truth. In these times I think factual accuracy needs to be respected much more! Looking forward to 'Vice' on Sunday...
