Might seem like a simple picture, but this was a study for me on light, shaders and renders. I had an idea for a new story and couldn't decide between featuring The Blue Bulletteer or Nylon Lynx. After working out the details, I thought NL a better fit. So, if I can find the time, there may be two Nylon Lynx Stories this month. In this pic, I experimented with her pantyhose. I also messed around with different lighting. This is a Superfly render. Most of my previous posts were Firefly. The difference is Ray Tracing. Superfly is entirely Ray Traced, meaning the renderer tries to trace the path of light. If it strikes an object it is either reflected or absorbed and a shadow forms on the other side. Firefly is more predictive, attempting to predict where light will go and what will happen. Because Superfly relies on reflecting light, the reflection becomes a huge component of the render. I rarely used reflections in Firefly because if there was nothing to reflect, you'd see noting but black, but with Superfly, the reflection winds up being the color of the object, ie the reflected light. So, NL's lips, legs, body suit and shoes all have some degree of reflection. Anyway, I thought this was pretty cool. So, time permitting, I'll have a little Nylon Lynx side story. I'll plan something special for Blue Bulletteer in the future.
