I really enjoyed this episode. As 2026 is beginning, I am working through unresolved grief in preparation for the likely passing of several of my family members. I really appreciate that you guys feel comfortable talking freely about your grief because it makes me feel like I will eventually be okay.

2026-01-02 18:22:51 +0000 UTCOmg I feel the not being told stuff, I remember I was picked up after school by my mum unexpectedly and she was like "Did the teachers tell you?" I was like "No, what happened?" And it turned out my sister had attempted suicide and was in hospital, my mum had asked the teachers to tell me and they hadn't because "we saw him and he just looked so happy, we didn't want to upset him"?? Like I can understand the awkwardness around that, my mum should be the one to tell me but damn, she asked you to let me know? Plus it upset me much more not knowing! And if I hadn't have been walking my friend out to her parents' car, I wouldn't have known my mum was even there Luckily my sister was okay, is now doing very well living her best life ❤️ but damn that messed with me for a bit
