I recently shot with a new to me photographer in my studio. He was traveling through from Florida and hired me specifically because my studio walls are red. He only wanted to shoot me in things that were red, yellow, or blue (no other colors in the clothes, no patterns). I assumed it was a focus on primary colors, but it turned out he started shooting red because he, wrongly, assumed every woman liked red. Yellow because of a woman he used to shoot with a lot that wanted to shoot yellow. And, blue because it's his favorite color. It was a very fast, exhausting shoot where he had me put on clothes fast and would shoot me mid putting them on, while they were partially on my head or up my hips or the edges turned inside out or flipped. You will see as the posts progress. I'm happy with the images after I got to see them and he said I could share them. But, during the shoot I was quite unsure. He said anything with red in it had to have me anonymous, covering my eyes or face, so here I am against my red studio walls covering my face. Oh, he also requested my lips and nails be red.
