I find hiking this time of year such a challenge, not because it's cold, but because there's no good "subjects" for my camera. And, that is a major thing I find enjoyable about hiking.... hunting for magic shots. But, I've been jonesin' for a hike so bad lately. I decided to put on my insulated Duluth overalls and instead of looking for art shots, take a more documentative approach to my photos, being mindful in the moment to really look beyond and find little treasures. There really was more to look at than I expected and the birds sounded like Spring was coming. I'm happy to report the skunk cabbage is breaking through the soil! (If you don't live where I do.... It's late Winter. Spring ephemerals will probably be starting in a couple weeks. The only signs of Spring at this time are Snowdrops and Skunk Cabbage.)
*Nature photos are viewable to everyone. You have to be a paid member to see unclothed art photos. If you only want to see my nature photos (or your finances don't allow right now) stay at the free member level and you'll be set! Thanks for looking at my photography!
