I've never been much of a landscape artist. I'm more toward the nature close-ups. I do like the way you make the fifth image work; the chaos of the fallen trees, and the autumnal light.
The grain study... superb. The shadowing showing the slow erosion of the wood and the infilling of nascent moss humps... That's the sort of shot I like to take.

No, it was stuck in cement. This is macro super close up! I did used to when I was a child, though! I've found so many cool things hiking. I should take pics of fossils and things I have.
