Black and white or color?
Added 2024-05-28 00:00:05 +0000 UTCI'm sorry, but black and white almost always falls short to me. You lose the warmth of skin and hair and eye color. Color is so beautiful. I know many people disagree, though. Which do you like better?

I really enjoy both. However some of my favorite of all time in all areas of life are in black and white. I guess ultimately it depends which way adds to the moment.

2024-06-18 04:17:28 +0000 UTCI generally prefer color. B&W is great if the photographer is trying to do something specific with the light/dark aspect of the photo. The set that you've posted don't look like they were shot with B&W in mind.

Going mechanically from color to B&W straight down the line is seldom effective, i.e. the correspondence is seldom 1:1; tonal values need to be adjusted specifically all through the image. . . . Bear in mind this comes from a perfectionist dick, as you know.
