Music Poll!

Well I'm trying to use it to make custom music for the game.
I've made a few tracks so far, but I know that I cannot judge my own creation fairly.
THEREFORE... it is up to YOU to decide.
I have attached to this post the music that I'm considering using as the game's main overworld theme.
You can expect any other music that I make to be similar to it.
Now, the question for this poll is as follows:
Do you want more music similar to this to be used in the game, or do you want me to stick to default RPG maker music?

Thank you for the criticism! Since I've only just begin working on making music, I don't expect to make great tracks immediately, and it's criticism like yours that'll help me improve. Please do not feel discouraged from criticizing any of my work, I'll never know if I made something bad unless someone else brings me down to earth. I'll definitely try to improve on making music, and I'll make sure to include FLPs of any track I've made so far in the finished update!

2025-04-22 05:51:44 +0000 UTChaving listened to this myself, i will say i have massive respect for getting started out, sharing something like this out there! to give a few specific pointers myself: - at the start, the point where you go from the pulse on the eighth notes to the triplet run is rather jarring. it feels like the melody trips over itself rather than flowing, which. is understandable! - it feels like you're not working within a specific key or chord progression, which by itself isn't bad but takes a LOT of extremely careful organization. using a set key, especially when you're starting out making music, is... i hesitate to say easier? i don't wish to discourage challenging music, but it'd be a lot better for a self-admitted beginner. - not gonna comment on the lack of supporting instrumentation, making a decent melodic line to start off with is very decent. but it will sound rather shapeless without more than two instruments, especially if those two instruments are competing for the melody. honestly, work with just one imo. i am NOT about to pretend i could do it better. this is just what all ive noticed when first listening. honestly, would love to play around with the project file myself. kinda wanna see what i can do!

2025-04-22 05:41:47 +0000 UTCOne of the objectives I set for myself was that I am not allowing myself to just straight up rip and paste songs or sprites. Everything in the game HAS to be custom made, even if I use the base sprites as a reference.
