Scary Fae that will steal you away!

I am going to post these on my Instagram, too, but I wanted to post them here and get these photographers some attention. I have a working list of concepts. When someone gives me an idea, I put it on the list. When I don't have an idea, I pull from the list. Sometimes I decide I don't like the idea enough to pursue it, or it's been over-done, or whatever. This concept is "scary fae like the kind that will steal you away". My friend's helped me. You will see some photos of them later on. This entire set are self portraits. I created the outfit (ears from Amazon came a color too orange, so I hand painted them to match my skin tone) and the makeup. I set up my camera on a tri-pod and set the self timer. My friends helped me some with positioning and with making adjustments. Natural lighting. I was somewhat excited about them through the camera, but thought if they were edited, they might really pop. So, I put out a call to see if anyone wanted to edit some photos for fun. Once I started to see their edits, it motivated me to not be lazy and try to edit them, too. So, here we have 4 photos in 4 different ways. The first photo is the original straight off the camera. The second was edited by me (after the other two were done). The third was edited by jonathanmichaelsphotography (IG) a Columbus, OH photographer, navy veteran, father, husband, and creative. Give him a follow on Instagram! The fourth was edited by crownandflintphoto (IG) a Frederick, MD photographer, tinkerer, sailor, rocket scientist, lover of fast primes, old glass, and funky filters. Give him a follow on Instagram! I think it's fun to see how different people interpret the same photo and "assignment". And, this does kind of prove to me that I maybe should not be as lazy and edit some of my self-portraits. It makes them look more complete and finished. And, helps translate what is in my mind, but I can't always get in a photo straight off the camera. More to come. I'm making this a public post, so anyone can share it to other social medias so the photographers can get some attention.
