Roleplaying Brynn

Adherent to the tenets of the Valkyr, Brynn is a stalwart defender of Cloudheim, its people, and all travelers who seek refuge there—as she once was.

Her home village was one of many in the region destroyed by ice giants, and were it not for the Valkyr who found her on her own quest for Cloudheim, she might not have made the journey. And although she’s now regarded as one of the bravest, wisest, and most compassionate among the Valkyr, it took her time to grow to be that person and forgo her preconceived notions of giantkin. That began with Sveida, a woman of giant descent herself, who migrated to Cloudheim.

Brynn was originally quick to choose violence in repelling giants from the region, and when word traveled of a half-giantess residing in Cloudheim, Brynn sought her out to learn of giants’ weaknesses. Sveida asked to accompany Brynn outside the city to “demonstrate one of giants’ greatest weaknesses,” and when the duo encountered an ice giant near the city, Sveida simply convinced them to leave.

When Brynn realized how angry that made her, she realized she had become what she always thought she was fighting against: something quick to shed blood without thinking twice of it.

It was then that Brynn began to seek Sveida’s company more often, as a mentor she never expected.

Brynn is a celestial paladin NPC with challenge rating 15! Her release includes cards and files for:

• Her character art and NPC stat block.
• A Chromatic Sword, that lets its user choose which elemental damage to deal on hit.
• The Light's Protection, a medium OR heavy armor that protects its wearer from all kinds of evil.
• Lightbearer's Gauntlets, for wielding weapons in an offhand that are usually too heavy.
• Trust, a shield that can be used to defend someone from afar.
• Valkyrian Treads, which give bonus to running movement and additional movement to anyone that can fly!
• The Eye of the First Storm, an extremely powerful spellcasting ring that can have cataclysmic results (if you're unlucky)!
• Storm's Utterance, an evocation spell that becomes more powerful if the target recently took damage.
