Marianne Update, Next Patreon Stream
Added 2018-09-16 17:26:38 +0000 UTCHey guys, Martin here.
A few days ago, my wife was diagnosed as having PTSD and ADHD, alongside her already diagnosed depression. This is something she's been peripherally concerned about for a while, but now that it's something we're both aware of and have an official diagnosis, we're both taking steps to help her through this and accommodate for any changes we need to make due to medication, etc.
As a result, I'm having to prioritize her wellbeing over content creation for at least the immediate future. I'm still going to be working where possible, but I'm going to put Marianne first above anything else until she feels comfortable in how she's coping with this.
There won't be a patreon stream today as I'll be spending it with her (I wanted to spend the rest of the week just making certain she's absolutely where she needs to be and has anything she needs), but I'm going to aim to stream next Sunday the 23rd of September from 12 noon PST/3pm EST/8pm GMT.
I apologize for any inconvenience this causes and I acknowledge that I wasn't prepared for this. In any event, I hope that we're able to work through this and keep providing content that you enjoy in the future.
Many thanks for understanding,
Martin

Sending you both good vibes and a lot of love. ❤️ You said it best, Keelia—our hearts are open to both of you. We’re all blessed to support you both through every twist and turn in life, as you’ve been for us. It seems sometimes that while we fight these battles, we have to continually scrape further below where we were convinced our “bottom” was, and there’s nothing more difficult than that arduous work. Whatever form this development takes, know that there is a wide network of your supporters here, where we’ll always be. You guys rock. ✊❤️🤘
2018-09-19 00:38:17 +0000 UTCBtw, as someone working in the mental health field: THANK YOU BOTH. Thank you for your courage in talking openly about this both on Patreon and social media. By using your platforms to talk about this, to *normalize* this, you are fighting mental health stigma.

2018-09-17 16:26:18 +0000 UTCYou are doing the best possible thing by prioritizing her health. I have an anxiety + panic disorder, and I understand needing to get medical interventions & make drastic lifestyle changes in order to get back to functioning. Your fans all love Marianne as much as we love you, and we will support whatever you need to take care of each other. <3 <3

2018-09-17 03:17:28 +0000 UTCI know from experience that on some level having an official diagnosis or name for something like this can sort of help clarify things, especially if it was something you already were wondering about (like give a clearer picture of what medications/treatments might get to the core of it, or even just help more, etc)--but I also know quite well how overwhelming it can be, in a lot of complicated ways, and how it means the world to have someone you love be there for you through it. Both of you take care.
