I shot my real life regular friend on Sunday. It was her first time nude in front of a camera. These are my favorite from the day. I will share more, though. We decided Saturday morning to shoot Sunday morning after she said "I'm ready to model for you." Sometimes you gotta jump on people before they back out. hahaha. Or you know you say some day we'll do that and some day never happens unless you pick a day or time. I assumed we were shooting her face, but after a discussion of limits and preferences (prior to her signing a model release), she decided anonymous would be best for her the first time. So, all of the photos I'll post are quick improv. I did not have masks at the studio. I gave her the blue scarf and she put it around her neck. I said this scarf is... not a scarf.... haha. So, I physically showed her what I wanted her to do with it. I had a black fabric over my window and was shining a blue light on her. These are unedited. The third photo, which is my absolute favorite of the day, I was shining a purple gel on her with the black fabric darkening the window. There was a set with an umbrella covering her face we shot before this, but she did not like any of those photos enough to allow me to share them. First sets of a shoot are tough. It's like a warm up. I have to respect her request, even though she signed a photo release, for many reasons (she's my friend, she's never modeled before, she's not a professional model, she was not getting paid, and last but not least I just don't want anyone to have shitty memories of shooting with me, so I do allow leeway especially with non professionals) and just toss them out. The reason I wouldn't want to toss them out is just to share them here for learning purposes. She is 62 years old.
