So, my third and final concept I wanted to try with her is this. She is a belly dancer. I asked if she had a skirt that would swirl out when she twirled and she sent me some videos of two options. I told her to bring underwear, but if she was comfortable without them, that was my preference. (She is more comfortable with between the legs shots than me, but I'm working on loosening up slightly on that.) I wanted to see if the skirt would look like an abstract flower with her in the center of it. I put the camera on the floor. She told me how much distance I needed to be back so that she could still twirl. And, then I shot repeatedly up her skirt. Kinda bold and maybe can only get away with this as a female photographer. But, I'm really happy with these. She likes the foot one, which was an accident, because it reminds her of dancing and foot fetishists will like it. :)
When I shoot others, this is how I prefer to shoot, have 3-4 nailed down concepts so I have all my props and feel prepared. When I'm the model, I'm more comfortable winging it, since I feel more confident in that role than the photographer role.
