I chose version A because Max looks like a young character, and he's probably not used to having naked women showing off in front of him. He'd be a bit shocked (pleasantly!) I think. And maybe he should be wearing a tight swim brief, like a Speedo, instead of those enormous shapeless shorts. You could justify that if this is a poolside scene. He looks like he has a swimmer's body, anyway. That way, you could definitely see the effect Vivian is having on him!
