Progress report for V 0.3

It’s a while since I've made a public post, but I promise I haven’t been slacking off. In fact, work on Version 0.3 is going well.
More than 350 new images are finished. I think V 0.3 will end up with around 500 new ones in total. Some of them are coming together really easily but a few are proving to be a pain in the butt for lighting or rendering times. Geez Daz Studio can do weird things!
The total word count on text and programming is at over 45,000 words, so most of the grunt work is finished. Still a few scenes to write, but I’ve started work on the polishing and continuity, to make sure the various plots and characters develop as they should through the third week of the game.
Some important choices coming this week guys, and a lot more development of two of the main plotlines. Plus a new world to visit, and more water fights with the girls to relax. Oh and more sex!
I don’t have a date for release yet, but I’m looking forward to getting it out to you soon.

I can't believe I forgot all 3 names! lol

As I build a game I get way too many ideas about how plots or relationships can develop, and to accommodate at least some of ideas the parallel path approach is very useful. That way I get to share more ideas without overloading a single path. And you get to play a couple of distinct variations, or have more choice about your focus in a single playthrough. V 0.3 is really where choices can diverge down two different routes, so I’m contemplating having a save point at the start of V 0.3 to give players a spot to come back to without the need to replay the earlier part of the game. Then additional save points for each path at the end of V 0.3. That way a player can play both paths each release if they want to. I wish I wasn’t such a complicated person, but we’re stuck with it I guess! Interesting idea about more of NM. I’m so immersed in The Keymaster just now that I have not given NM much thought. Any suggestions as to how NM could develop?

But behind the joking is my belief that a good adult game must be able to keep our interest even without the actual sex scenes. With the games I like to play it tends to be the storyline that keeps me going… I want to see what happens. That provides the “unknown” element. And the slow development of relationships provides the “known” element. On that foundation, the actual sex is kind of like the icing on the cake. I’m pleased to say that I on my cake there is going to be a lot of icing! I am actually trying to work out how to manage all the sex at the moment and am tending towards the parallel path approach I used in Naughty Magic, where a player can play through twice using different fundamental choices, and see quite different scenes as a result.

2021-09-02 22:52:42 +0000 UTCI realize you're kind of joking, but, for me, one of the greatest strengths of an admirable AVN such as "The Keymaster" is the role and incidence of sex. A place for everything and everything in its place is, in my opinion, right and, to me, you have that just right.
