It's cute when you ramble, don't worry about it. If the floor is hardwood, a plain rug will soak up a lot of sound. As noted above, canvas pictures do really well, but just about anything that isn't flat or soft helps, too. Even some empty moving boxes can soften echos in the short term. Definitely take care of yourself and keep working on getting your sleep!
