Preview: Alternate scraping sources!
Added 2021-08-01 16:40:02 +0000 UTCHi everyone! I just wanted to share a short update as to what is coming down the pipeline in the next few days. Now that cataloging has been restored and upgraded with a new back-end, alternate scraping options have now been implemented.
For any titles which were missing, have been retired, or removed (due to licensing issues), an alternate fallback source will be used for scraping instead. In addition, all secondary source information will be automatically translated into English thanks to the Patreon exclusive machine language translation engine. While this alternate data source is generally less complete than our primary source, it will at least provide some coverage to more obscure titles which otherwise would be left behind.
As an added bonus, plot information is now cross-checked between our primary source and Japanese counterpart. So if plot information can be found for a title in Japanese, it will be automatically translated and included in you cataloging results (where previously they were omitted).
For supporters at the Enhanced level or above, a special preview/test version of the project will be made available to them, with a regular release following the completion of testing!
