Obsidian TTRPG Convert CLI User Interface Now Released For All! With a video!
Added 2025-04-01 20:45:35 +0000 UTCThere is an awesome tool within the Obsidian Community that is incredibly useful for players of 5e (2014 and 2024). It helps us get the notes we own into Markdown format and it capable of creating the content we own in lightning speed.
The problem is that the tool is a Command Line Interface tool which means you need to break out your early 90s knowledge of command lines to get it working. Many members of the community have struggled with this process over the last two years.
Introducing the TTRPG Convert CLI User Interface! A windows application that simplifies the process to a handful of clicks allowing you to get started with Obsidian faster than ever. The tool is free to use and available for all. The tool is easy to use, so honestly, you don't really need this video, but I've recorded this to really step through the process, explain what it's doing and show you how to set everything up within your vault.
The tool will take a bit of time to download all the content to your system, but after that it takes mere minutes to run and create the notes you need!

You should follow the tutorial on the official documentation. The config file format has changed quite a bit so you need to follow that.
