Delta 1.6RC: The Final Touches for iPad 👈

Hi Patrons!

The final release for Delta 1.6 is almost ready!! 1.6rc is now available and we packed in some great additions ahead of the final release, including:

🎮 Game Mode Support (iOS 18)

This beta introduces polished versions of our brand-new iPad skins for all systems. These beautiful skins were designed specifically for a larger display, and are optimized for both full-screen and Stage Manager. We even took the time to update our iPhone landscape DS Skin to have bigger screens! As always, thanks to our friend Caroline Moore for these designs 💜

That's not all: we also added Handoff support, making it easier than ever to switch between devices! This feature works perfectly for when you're playing on the couch with your iPad and decide to continue your adventure on the go. Just bring your iPhone close to your iPad to seamlessly transfer your game to the smaller screen 📲 And even better, this also works on Mac!

And as a bonus for those on the iOS 18 beta, we’ve also added support for Game Mode 🎮 Now you can enjoy all the benefits this brings -- such as reduced latency for game controllers and AirPods!

⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ 

This version automatically hides incompatible melonDS save states. You can still view them by pressing the menu button from the save state screen and choosing "View Incompatible Save States"

If you've been using regular game saves, you'll still be able to keep your progress. However, if you've been relying on save states, you may need to create an in-game save before updating. If you've already updated, you can manually export save states and load them in previous versions of melonDS on the computer. There you can create a new in-game save that you can import back into Delta.
