Chapter 104

**Chapter 104: The Friendship Between Uchiha and White Fang**

---

In the tent.

Uchiha Yosuke stood face-to-face with the legendary "White Fang of Konoha," Hatake Sakumo.

He had silver-white long hair, a red triangular armband on his left shoulder, and a chakra short sword on his back. His ordinary appearance gave off the vibe of a kind uncle from next door.

Yet who would have thought this man was Konoha's top elite Jonin, whose strength was feared by major ninja villages?

“Lord White Fang,” Yosuke greeted respectfully.

After White Fang explained the upcoming battle strategy, Yosuke realized why Tsunade summoned him and Fugaku. Fugaku’s earlier comment that this was a significant opportunity for the Uchiha Clan now made sense.

“This operation is risky,” White Fang explained, “but if successful, it could end the war in the Land of Rain, and even the Second Shinobi War as a whole. For this, I need the elite forces of the Uchiha Clan.”

As the commander of the Sand battlefield, White Fang had the authority to mobilize forces, yet this time he sought assistance from Konoha’s prestigious clans. It was reminiscent of the First Shinobi War when the Senju Clan rallied Konoha’s families to achieve victory.

But that was the Senju Clan.

“Elite Uchiha forces? Lord White Fang, forgive me, but you’re requesting fifteen Jonin who’ve awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan!” Fugaku’s face grew grave upon hearing the request.

While the Uchiha were formidable, there weren’t even a hundred Three-Tomoe Sharingan Jonin in the clan. Fifteen elite Jonin was a significant demand, especially since the clan had already sent many members to various battlefronts.

Hatake Sakumo understood this was a steep request. But for the sake of the village and a swift end to the war, he remained resolute:

“Fugaku Jonin, I understand my request is excessive. But if the war drags on, other villages will intervene, and we’ll face a repeat of the First Shinobi War. I pledge this with the honor of the Hatake Clan...”

Fugaku hesitated. This was a rare opportunity to establish trust with a future Hokage.

Meanwhile, Yosuke observed the scene silently, thinking, *No wonder White Fang later took his own life. No wonder the Uchiha respected him. Both share an absolute lack of political savvy!*

Yosuke couldn’t help but sigh internally. *White Fang, your promise is admirable, but it’s naive to think that goodwill alone can forge lasting alliances.*

“Yosuke, what do you think?” Fugaku turned to Yosuke, hoping for guidance.

Without hesitation, Yosuke replied, “This isn’t personal—it’s for the village. I believe it’s feasible.”

Fugaku was shocked by Yosuke’s decisiveness, yet the latter’s confidence stemmed from his foreknowledge of events.

“But I suggest some tactical adjustments to the plan,” Yosuke added.

White Fang, intrigued, leaned closer as Yosuke pointed to the map and outlined a contingency plan involving multiple retreat routes. His recommendations reflected a deep understanding of battlefield dynamics, earning White Fang’s admiration.

Following their discussion, Yosuke and Fugaku agreed to the operation, while White Fang offered a token of gratitude—a chakra weapon, the Hatake Clan’s kenjutsu techniques, and a prototype Lightning Release jutsu.

As they left the tent, Fugaku remarked, “Yosuke, your decisiveness never ceases to amaze me.”

Yosuke smiled and responded, “Life is full of choices. Indecision often leads to missed opportunities and greater mistakes.”

Later, in Tsunade’s medical tent, she revealed her progress on analyzing a rare poison, potentially from Hanzo’s Salamander. While her resources were limited, her breakthrough could save countless lives.

“Prepare yourselves,” Tsunade said, her tone serious. “The final battle is near.”
