Chapter 1 Uchiha Haneda

Konoha village, Shinobi Academy.

A middle-aged man wearing a white Hokage robe and hat was giving a passionate speech on the podium. "Wherever the leaves dance the fire will continue to burn. The flames will continue to illuminate this village and allow the new leaves to sprout..."

The speaker was none other than the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen of the Leaf village. At that time he was in his prime and his voice was sonorous and powerful.

Most students in the audience were listening to him with full attention and their heartbeats couldn't help but beat faster.

Uchiha Obito had the same dress style and goggles as the canon. His eyes were focused on the Third Hokage like he was engraving each word from the Third Hokage into his heart.

'Now that he is just a kid he is much more likeable. He just has an obsession with becoming Hokage and shouts about it to everyone... But it's just a pity that he is still a die-hard simp.'

Haneda calmly withdrew his gaze and looked in another direction, where a white-haired kid with a black mask was standing. At a single glance, he could tell who was that boy. He was none there than Kakashi Hatake, the future copy ninja, the teacher of team 7 and the future sixth Hokage... In the canon timeline at least.

However, as soon as Haneda's eyes turned to Kakashi, the other person looked over at him.

'As expected of Kakashi, he sensed me glancing at his so fast! He is not a genius for nothing!' Haneda instead looking away looked Kakashi directly into his eyes. In the Shinobi academy, Kakashi was one of his targets. As for the other one that would be Might Gai, the future blue beast of Konoha.

After all, Gai almost killed Uchiha Madara after opening the Eighth Gate. And even Madara Uchiha had declared him as the strongest... All that is in the canon timeline.

Though Gai was bust trying to not fall asleep. He had to say Gai was quite a unique character.

The reason he was keeping eyes on those people was simple. It was because of his cheat. He had a System, that would give him rewards depending on his favorability level with the canon characters of Naruto World. Even though it was a great System he still looked down on it. He wanted to have a system that would give him everything without him doing anything. And be an arrogant bastard who would go around killing people just because he could.

When he first awakened his system, Haneda was full of arrogance and wanted to beat up people to show his superiority and feed his fragile ego. After learning the functions his thoughts were dashed away. In order to gain favorability with the canon characters he would have to work hard to get closer to them.

The closer and intimate the relationship the more abilities he could gain from that person.

For example, Obito Uchiha his tool- I mean good friend could give his Ninjutsu, Taijutsu, Chakra and Even Sharingan techniques like Kamui. However, in order to obtain Kamui, Haneda estimated that he would have to at least have to become Obito's gay friend. Almost the same relation as canon Kakashi and Obito.

As for friends, mentor-apprentice relationships and such, that was a different story.

Haneda knew the canon story very well. While Minato Namikaze and his wife took care of Obito like their own child Obito gave them death as the repayment. Even an ungrateful bastard like Haneda felt chill thinking about it.

Obito could try to create a new world for his dead (one-sided) lover Rin. To that Haneda could only be speechless.

In a story seeing someone declaring world war for love may look touching. But when you live in that world and it is no longer a story... Now, that's a different story.

It's just Haneda didn't know why Obito just resurrected Rin...

In short, Haneda didn't have high expectations for Kamui and he wanted to get on good terms with Obito and use him to gain his favorability as well as increase his Sharingan power.

"Hey, Haneda! What did you call me yesterday, you bastard!?" As soon as Obito finished listening to the speech he pulled over Haneda and asked angrily.

"The dead-last is Obito Uchiha. Obito, you got the last place in the test yesterday. So, you are dead last." Haneda teased with a smile.

"Ha! You're not much better than me, second to last!"

"It's enough. It's still better than being the dead last." Haneda laughed.

"You damn, bastard!" Obito said angrily pointing his figure at Haneda. He was speechless.

Kakashi, who was standing by, interrupted coldly, "Two slakers, what's there t quarrel about?"

"Shut up, Bastard Kakashi!" Obito immediately looked at Kakashi and said through gritted teeth.

Haneda just smiled indifferently, not paying any attention to Kakashi's ridicule.

To be honest, he was just like the Seventh Hokage's strategist, he ranked second to last in the exam, but even if he just wanted to rank second to last, it didn't mean he was incapable.

After all, the second-to-last guy can have a better relationship with the dead-last guy.

At that time, Haneda wanted to take advantage of the fact that Obito had not yet turned evil and try to gain a lot of favor in the following few years.
