You do know that just by letting him participate you are opting in on your own discrimination. A life lession, sometime wisdom commands you to step aside. All too often minority groups in America "go along to get along". Young men open your eyes, if you are looked upon as dirt, then take your life builting essence anywhere. Remember, christianity always goes for the wrong, it is one of the bully religions. I would stay away he will be getting more than you bargained for, mark my words. Liking, very intersting, need I remind you that many Nazis were likable people, other than them being Nazis.

2024-03-10 16:47:12 +0000 UTCI'm gay and grew up in rural Oklahoma in Southern Baptist environment. This is definitely a hard situation and I'm sad you're all experiencing it! If this church was sponsoring out of the kindness of their hearts, there would be no need for labeled jerseys. I agree with others here saying that this is advertisement or at the very least, someone hoping for acknowledgement or recognition of their community outreach. My family is all very Christian but very loving and accepting (because of me, a gay cousin, and my bisexual brother.) If their church sponsored a sports team not specifically in a Christian ball league (do those exist?) they would never agree with labeling the jerseys with the church name. To my family, the best outreach is through love and invisible action, not public accolades. As for paying for the jersey, I think I would pay given that the league is probably not doing it for discrimination purposes. But in future I would consider preemptively acting (forewarned is forearmed) to determine who is sponsoring, why, how, and such, and you may even have other parents decide that the whole team doesn't need jerseys that advertise in this exact manner. I'm a bit scattered and at work, so I hope this all makes sense. ❤️💙
