Transforming A Portrait Using Adobe Lightroom

Sometimes I when I take photos they come out perfectly and don't need much processing. Other times the light is too hot or shadows get in the way of telling the story in the photo. This is why I love Adobe Lightroom. It gives us the ability to enhance and transform photos without compromising what the photo is and represents. In this portrait I needed to bring down the hot spots and darken up the shadows but lighten them in other areas. My goal was to show the subject as he is in real life. Not to make him look polished in airbrushed because he does not need it. Adobe Lightroom did the trick! What are you thoughts on the before and after?
