It's taken me a long time to let this one go but today I share with you, "Teller 1". Written during our short time living as a family in Colorado, reflecting on my adolescent years and wondering how my son would remember his time in the rockies (unfortunately we didn't stay long enough for him to remember much πŸ˜” but being the videographers we are, he'll always have home movies to watch and help him reminisce)   I felt a reconnection with 'home' that I had anticipated but was sometimes doubtful would come to me. My teen years in Florissant, Co were lonesome but I believe they helped shape me into who I am today and they've taught me to appreciate the experiences that seem like nothing special at the time but go on to become defining moments in life. Returning home to Colorado as an adult, a husband and a parent took me right back to that feeling of solitude I vividly remembered as a teen. Only now I was able to appreciate the quiet peacefulness of the mountains without feeling antsy that I was missing out on something in life. The wilderness of Teller County is ingrained in me like my Sicilian blood and regularly presents itself in thought when a key word is spoken. Unleashing a flood of memories that take me back to simpler times. When all I dreamt about was getting out of my small mountain town and moving to the big city because things were going to be more exciting in the city. I wouldn't miss home at all. πŸ™„   Writing this song was a full circle experience for me. It is as close to closure as I will get when it comes to saying goodbye to home.   Hope you enjoy. Thanks for listening. Blue

Art they say is in the eye of the beholder (and I consider music to be a form of art just in the ear of the listener). Blue's story, the lyrics and music evoke memories for me that find their way to my heart. I hope no-one will mind me sharing, my story is of a sixteen year old girl finished year 12 and desperate to leave this little coastal town to discover life. After over 40 years away living an interesting life, I am back now in that little coastal town and find peace and contentment in that. Thank you Blue
