Mythos Maps: Chapter 1 Foundry VTT Module Released

Hi all,

I just got the scenes done for the Mythos Maps: Chapter 1 map collection for Foundry VTT. You can find the manifest link and zip package below and in the FVTT master post.

Notes about the release

This package is currently at version 0.8. It includes dynamically lit scenes, but it is still missing some notes, instructions, and sounds. These are coming soon with the next updates.

There seems to be an issue with the scene thumbnail generation (tested on Forge). I have not found the cause yet, but I hope this will be fixed in the upcoming module updates. If the scene thumbnails look wrong for the scene, you can manually update it by right-clicking the scene and select "Regenerate scene thumbnail".

I used the FXMaster module in some of the scenes to create additional weather and visual effects, so I recommend installing and activating it if it's not already part of your setup. If you do not have this module installed, the scenes still work, but with less eye candy :)

Installation - Forge VTT users

Using Import Wizard (ZIP)

You can  import the modules as zip files using the Import Wizard in the My Foundry page. This will analyze the zip file, and if its contents are found in the Bazaar, that does not count towards your asset quota (unless you install it as a custom module).

Installation - Self-Hosted

Install and activate through Foundry VTT using a manifest link:

• Launch Foundry VTT > Select "Add-on Modules" tab
• Click "Install Module" > Copy & paste the manifest link to "Manifest URL"
• Click "Install"
• Launch a world and activate the module
• Open Compendium and import the maps you like OR right-click the compendium in the list and select "Import All Content" to import all included content into a new folder.

Install and activate through Foundry VTT using a zip file:

• Download the zip package and unzip it to your "Modules" folder under Foundry VTT "Data" folder.
• Launch Foundry VTT
• Launch a world and activate the module
• Open Compendium and import the maps you like OR right-click the compendium in the list and select "Import All Content" to import all included content into a new folder.

Updating

You can update the module easily through Foundry VTT with a few mouse clicks:

• Update by clicking the "Check Update" next to the module in the modules listing, or "Update All" at the bottom of the panel.
