2025-01-16 09:44:13 +0000 UTCI wasn’t allowed to watch many Barbie movies growing up, but I’d recommend Barbie as Rapunzel, Barbie in The Island Princess, and/or Barbie in the Diamond Castle. I know the Fairytopia/Mermaidia ones are considered classic and iconic, but I’ve never seen them 🤷🏻. I’m really looking forward for more Barbie eventually.

2025-01-16 09:41:51 +0000 UTCThis was always one of my sister and I’s favorite Barbie movies, along with Princess and the Pauper and Rapunzel. We watched this one at least a couple times a month. For some reason watching it as much as we did, we failed to realize a few things. 1. The princesses are named in alphabetical order. And 2. Catherine O’Hara plays the duchess. I also recently (in the last 5 years) found out that they used actual dancers in motion capture suits to film all the dancing, which is why it looks so good. There’s footage of it online, and it’s honestly cool to see.
