2024-10-16 00:06:46 +0000 UTCSorta, Brian Jones for the reasons you mentioned was not brought back except in claymation form. Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis were never approached to be in the sequel. Geena Davis has said as much in interviews and guessed it was because they aged and they are not supposed to. Also I think Burton wanted to tell a different kind of story without having the anchor of the Maitlands in it from the first one. Otho was not in it because he had passed away.
