I'm kind of bad theater kid because...I'm actually not the biggest fan of Sondheim. I love Sweeney Todd but none of the rest really resonate with me. I *get* him, I recognize the genius in it, but for whatever reason, I just don't *like* his stuff. This one...the music has moments of greatness but the story is just not entertaining to me and I don't like a single character. To be fair, I haven't seen a ton of versions of it and with plays that can mean everything.
