Loved your reaction! Sam is definitely the MVP in my book. I also loved the attention to detail they put in the makeup and whatnot with the wounds on Frodo's neck from the chain the Ring was on. I would rank them 2,3,1 because I am a sucker for Frodo's psychological journey on top of his physical on. The book Return of the King delves a lot more into Frodo's time captured by the orcs in that tower, and it is intense, and I wish they kept it. There is a scene that they kept in the extended edition of the movie that takes place right before the battle of Mordor. Inwish they kept it in, but I highly reccomend watching those cut scenes.

When your camera cuts off and then back on, there is a desync. By the 3rd cutoff there was a 20 second difference in what you were seeing and what we were seeing. I'll give an example. At 2:42:08 on your timer is when frodo gets his finger bitten off. In the movie's timer that occurs at 2:42:33. Very miniscule like I said but maybe something to keep in mind for future full lengths.
