Well after this episode the Crows (the group that cross the fold) and Alina are in the same area now. Those two stories do kinda mesh from this point on. The only plot that is kinda unrelated is Nina on the boat. This series is 2 books combined into 1 story. The Crow book series is a spin off book of The Shadow and Bone series, they exists in the same universe but don’t really have a lot to do with one another. The Crows book was essentially about a group of ppl that do heists, Alina was not a factor (from what I know I haven’t read them yet). So they kinda took these two books and made a hybrid story where the crows are the same characters and are doing a similar thing as they did in the book but just made Alina their mission.
