HardLife engine v0.27406 (game v0.38943):
* join the HardLife server for more frequent updates: https://discord.gg/CVhjBxr
* converted all hard-references to the player character ($G.PC) to use soft-references like the 'PC' alias
* decoupled encounter/passage-specific exits from the old PASSAGES system, replaced with generic EXPLORE/TRAVEL option
* attempted to isolate backward incompatible changes into a single update to preserve save-compatibility within this production line (v0.273x~v0.299x)
* slaves and enemies disabled for redesign as pets and relationships under new data structure
* deprecated code removed, part of an ongoing maintenance process to improve engine flexibility and efficiency
* support for pictures has been added (external and embedded)
- support for picture-crops/zones has been added (face, etc.)
- support for scaling pictures AND crops has been added
- support for image-maps has been started (will tie in with image zones)
- crop-zone coords have been made independent from image resolution and scale
- images (and other objects) tagged with the "zimg" class will now zoom to 3x scale on mouseover
- support for image-flipping has been added for portraits and full-sized images
* 14 high resolution images (960x2400) have been added for NPCs Katie and Alice
* sources subblock added to stats, will be used extensively in future versions
* generator and updater functions added for the updated/simplified complex-variable format (base, pts, mods, lv, cal, alloc, spent, pow)
- the new format does not track specific modifiers, just holds the cached sum
* new items (transformative milks) available in store, coding is still in progress (some xforms require updated body-structure, traits, and other pending changes to the data-structure)
