DonorsChoose is a nonprofit organization that allows people to donate to classroom projects for public schools in the United States. Teachers can post requests for classroom materials, trips, and school visitors on the DonorsChoose website, and donors can choose which projects to support. Once a project is funded, the materials are delivered directly to the school.
90% of teachers spend an average of $800 a year of their own money providing essentials for their classrooms. A donation as small as $10 can make a big difference.
