General release
Added 2021-01-17 01:35:09 +0000 UTCIt's here! It's time! You can now cruise over to https://satiator.net and buy a Satiator, patron or no.
There is a caching issue with the cart provider and some people are still seeing the placeholder price of $9,999. You will get the correct price when you add it to your shopping cart. I'm waiting for them to fix it; my apologies for the confusion.
There are several hundred units in stock and I'm working to get the next batch together ASAP. I plan to keep them continuously available for the foreseeable future.
Patrons who were in the queue, if you haven't used your discount already, you can still access your coupon through the queue manager.
Development news
It's been a busy few weeks on the firmware/menu front, too! I'm busy catching up on documentation - there is a brand new wiki which I'm only just getting started on - but here are a few of the highlights:
- A patched Action Replay firmware allows it to boot directly into the Satiator menu, and adds A+B+C+Start reset functionality to games to allow returning to the Satiator menu again. Docs to follow on the Wiki
- Fixes to the emulation of CD block resets resolve hangs in a number of games, most notably many Capcom fighters and Sega Ages titles
- Tools for backing up and flashing Action Replay and Pseudo Saturn cartridges from the Satiator menu
- CUE/WAV support, thanks to a patch kindly contributed by lif
A big shout out to everyone in the Satiator Discord - all of the issue reports, testing, and general advice are immensely helpful in steering development and improving the product. Keep 'em coming, folks!
As always you can grab the latest menu (version 60 at the time of writing) and the latest firmware (154 today).
