The town of Circleville, Ohio is best known for its annual fall festival, The Pumpkin Show, but in the late 1970’s a letter writing campaign began that lasted nearly 20 years. The letter writer wrote over 1,000 letters to various community members tormenting them and exposing their dark secrets. One family, the Gillispies, were a frequent target of the letter. The insidious letters resulted in one of their deaths and an attempt on one of their lives.
