Lydia is a Nord warrior who lives in Whiterun. This is likely to be your first housecarl, which she becomes after obtaining the title of Thane of Whiterun after completing the Dragon Rising quest. If she doesn’t follow you she resides in the main hall of Dragonsreach, but if you buy Breezehome she will move there.
