I remember the night Macron was elected and a lot of people were still hopeful, I was watching TV and telling my friends and parents that the new French president would soon be hated by his people, just as Hollande before him. No need for a crystal ball to see that. But the Western public has been submitted for decades to a brainwashing system which seriously alters their critical thinking. They continue believing that the bubble of lies they live in is the actual reality. Hollande kept saying that "Assad [had] to go". He is gone now and Assad is still there. The same thing will happen to Macron. The night of the election of Emmanuel Macron green, white and black "free Syrian" flags were flying in Paris, as a reminder of the "good old days" of the French mandate. Flags which now represent al-Qaeda affiliates in Syria. Macron, Obama, Trump and terrorists are synonyms, and they will all be gone before Assad. They will all be remembered as History's trash.

Macron is a blatant elitist, easily drunk on his opinion of himself and his title. it is like he has no clue of the times and realities of today's world and its people. it is worse than the emperor having no cloths... it is like he is living in another world or dimension, or behind a two way mirror or something. it is interesting that you compare him to Hillary because they both put a double shot of hubris in the water they drink, but i think that she thought she knew where the ground was and that she owned it, whereas it do not think Macron even thinks about it - or if he does, he thinks he can just change it by his words.
