Hello~ Maddie is still on hiatus so I've been trying not to be impatient about 3D models and scratching the horse making itch instead (well, and playing Lies of P/Genshin Impact Fontaine). As a small gift, I'm uploading a base coat pack along with the shaders I use.
PLEASE READ: BASE COATS ARE IN THE MUZZLE SLOT
BUT WHY? Well, because you can still use stencils and freeform markings over the muzzle slot. I created these because I was tired of doing the same thing over and over since we can't save coats the same way we could in Sims 3. So, I made some basic coats that you can then add white markings, different shaders, dapples, shines, etc to make unique horses without having to start from scratch each time.
INCLUDED: Bay, dark bay, chestnut, liver chestnut, black, buckskin, palomino, double cream, amber champagne, grullo
I highly encourage painting over coats to make them into duns, roans, lighter or darker versions, etc. These are just some "standard" bases.
I can accomplish altering their shade fairly easily with stencils. I'm attaching the ones I've made for myself in case anyone wants them. You don't have to use them exactly for what they're named for (ie, I've used "roan body shade" to lighten the body without changing the legs and "seal points" to add gray-ish shading to chestnuts). I'm sure there are other shaders out there; feel free to use anything you want with them.
Note: I'm using a WIP version of Maddie's next HD mod in my game and I admittedly didn't take it out for a test. I can't say for sure how the coats look with another. Hopefully okay.
