🐻 Bears, Beers & Bare All: Madrid’s Spiciest Gay Bars & Clubs

This week we’re taking you on the spicy side of Madrid with three gay bars and nudist clubs that turned up the heat during our month-long stay. Think bears, beers, and a whole lot of bare skin. 😏

This post is part one — because there’s so much to cover. Next week, we’ll share part two to coincide with our full Gay Nightlife Guide to Madrid on YouTube. But for now, let’s dive into three of the hottest spots we hit during our first week in Spain’s gay capital.

🐻 Hot Bears Bar (Chueca)

Our first stop was Hot Bears Bar Madrid in Chueca — home of Bear Pride and happy hour. From the moment we walked in, the bartenders were warm and welcoming. With 2-for-1 specials, we scored four beers for just €14, and unlike in the U.S., they don’t hike prices for Pride. Love that!

Upstairs is a social vibe with plenty of AC, but downstairs you’ll find a cruising space with a few nooks and crannies if you want to explore. Early evening is quieter, but things definitely heat up as the night goes on. We had a little photo shoot down there 😉 — check the pics above.

🍹 Attack Club (Lavapiés)

Next up, we ventured into Lavapiés for Attack, one of Madrid’s biggest and most talked-about cruise clubs. Here’s the tea: entry can be a little confusing. You’re supposed to pre-register online 24 hours ahead and download an app called Playoff. If you don’t, you’ll pay a few extra euros at the door and fill out paperwork.

Entry is usually €20–25, and includes one cocktail or two beers and your locker. Once inside, the bar is surrounded by lockers, with a small maze and playrooms off to the side. But the real action is downstairs: private cabins, cubes, group areas, and more. We went on a Wednesday nudist night and it was packed by 11 p.m.

🔥 Pro tip: if you want to try Attack, go on Wednesdays or Sundays for nudist nights.

🥊 The Ring (Lavapiés)

Just a short walk away — though the neighborhood is a bit edgier — you’ll find The Ring which is a men only nudist club. And honestly? This one stole the show for us. Entry is €20, includes a drink, and staff walk you through the quick membership process. They're also super friendly and bilingual — way easier than Attack.

The setup is hot: lockers and a social bar upstairs, and downstairs… a giant boxing ring in the middle of it all where the real fun happens. There are also private cabins, a huge maze, and even a smaller side ring. We went on a Friday night (the night locals say is best), and they were absolutely right. The vibe was busy, social, and sexy without being intimidating.

💦 Bonus points for free condoms around the club.

✨ Final Take

If you’re heading to Madrid, here’s how we’d break it down:

Next week, we’ll share part two with three more must-visit spots, timed with our Madrid Gay Nightlife Guide on YouTube. Trust us, you won’t want to miss it.

Awesome! Our blog post is coming soon for Madrid and nightlife guide on Saturday! In Valencia, Axel gay hotel is opening its newest in a great location. It was supposed to open in July—we were planning to go to book a night—but it’s been delayed. It’ll likely be open for your dates!

Going to Madrid in October so excited to use these tips! Please let me know if there’s anything else I should know or try while I’m there! I’ll also be in Valencia too if there’s any recommendations you two have

100%!! From the chill social vibe upstairs, we were also pleasantly surprised 😉

‘Hot’ is definitely a good name for the bar. The basement had more fun than we expected!
